1. Who We Are; Scope; Agreement

SilentSecurity.net is operated by Silent Security Solutions, Inc. ("Silent Security," "we," or "us"). The website offers security education, product reviews, interactive tools, and, where separately offered and accepted, professional security advisory services. These Terms cover your use of the website and its consumer tools. A separate signed statement of work or other written agreement governs business, government, on-site, or customized consulting engagements; if it conflicts with these Terms for that engagement, the separate agreement controls.

By affirmatively accepting these Terms through a checkbox, button, or similar mechanism, you agree to them. Browsing the publicly available site does not, by itself, establish a paid consulting engagement. If you do not agree, do not submit content or purchase a service. Our Privacy Policy describes personal information practices and is not a substitute for these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Authority

The interactive submission and paid review services are intended for adults age 18 or older who have capacity to contract. You represent that you are at least 18 and that you own, rent, manage, or are otherwise authorized to request advice about the property, device, or system shown. Do not submit someone else's private materials without permission. Business users represent that they have authority to act for the relevant organization.

3. Website Content and Limits of General Guidance

Our free articles, checklists, buyer guides, comparisons, scorecards, calculators, and automated tools provide general educational information. They are not a physical inspection, certification, engineering opinion, legal opinion, emergency service, monitored alarm service, or guarantee that your premises, devices, family, or business are safe. General website content does not create a professional-client engagement. The limits of a separately purchased review are described below.

Visible photographs and user-provided descriptions are necessarily incomplete. We cannot determine from them whether equipment is functioning, correctly installed, code-compliant, suitable for a particular building, or capable of preventing a specific incident. Any security measure can fail. Consult qualified local professionals for code, electrical, structural, fire-safety, and installation decisions, especially for doors, windows, egress, and life-safety equipment. In an emergency call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service; the site and AI advisor are not monitored for emergencies.

4. Free AI Advisor and Optional AI Image Analysis

Some free tools, including "Ask the Advisor," use automated systems to generate educational responses. These responses are AI-generated, not reviewed or approved by a human security specialist unless we expressly say otherwise. AI can misunderstand photographs, invent details, overlook vulnerabilities, or provide unsuitable suggestions. Never treat an AI output as an inspection, clearance, or confirmation that a window, camera, alarm, or other measure is secure.

If and when we make a free photo-analysis feature available, we will identify it before submission. By choosing to submit an image for that feature, you authorize us and the AI and infrastructure service providers identified in our Privacy Policy or at the point of collection to process the image and accompanying text to generate the requested response. Do not upload unnecessary faces, children's images, access codes, credentials, precise addresses, identifying documents, or images that reveal another person's private living space without authorization. AI processing of free submissions does not mean a professional has reviewed your materials.

We may restrict or decline AI requests involving urgent danger, unlawful surveillance, evasion of security controls, or other unsafe activity. Please report concerning or demonstrably inaccurate AI outputs through our contact form.

5. Optional Human-Only Photo Review

Where offered for purchase, the focused professional photo review is performed and the findings are written by a human reviewer, not generated by AI. It is a separate, limited consultation about the specific issue described in your order, not an on-site assessment, ongoing security service, alarm monitoring, installation, product testing, or whole-property inspection. Free AI output is not a finding of the paid reviewer; the reviewer makes an independent assessment from the customer-provided materials.

The checkout description will state the current price, number of images or issues covered, deliverable, anticipated turnaround, and applicable refund rules. A displayed example price of $29 is not a promise of perpetual pricing. A service order begins only when we accept the order and confirm payment. We may seek clarification or decline an order that is unsafe, outside scope, insufficiently documented, or beyond available expertise. If we decline a paid order before providing the review, we will refund the charge.

Recommendations are based only on information available to the reviewer at the time, and may contain stated assumptions and limitations. They do not certify legal or building-code compliance, guarantee crime prevention or personal safety, or include an obligation to monitor changing conditions or follow up. Customer decisions, purchases, installation, maintenance, and implementation remain the customer's responsibility; qualified local specialists should be retained where appropriate.

6. Pricing, Taxes, Delivery, Cancellation, and Refunds

Each consumer photo review, if offered, is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The checkout price, any applicable sales tax, and all mandatory fees will be disclosed before payment. Payment processing may be provided by a third party under its own applicable terms and privacy notice.

The service-specific checkout and order confirmation will state the expected delivery timeframe. If we cannot provide the purchased deliverable, we will offer a refund of the review charge. You may ask to cancel before substantive review work begins; we will honor any more favorable cancellation policy shown at checkout and any rights required by applicable law. Once substantive work has begun or the written assessment has been delivered, voluntary refunds are governed by the checkout policy and applicable law. Do not enter payment credentials directly into a chat message, photo, or contact form. We do not authorize recurring charges under this offering unless a separate, clearly disclosed recurring plan is introduced and separately accepted.

7. Uploads, Ownership, Permission, and Confidentiality

You retain ownership of photographs, questions, and other materials you submit ("Submissions"). You grant Silent Security and necessary contracted service providers a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, store, process, display internally, and use those Submissions solely to provide the requested service, operate and secure it, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and carry out the practices accurately described in the applicable Privacy Policy. This is not permission to publish your home photos in advertisements or use them in public case studies; separate express consent would be required.

You represent that you have sufficient rights and permissions to provide each Submission. You may not upload illegal material, intimate images without consent, material that compromises another person's privacy, live surveillance feeds, or sensitive access credentials. We may reject or delete submissions that violate these rules. Access to professional-review submissions is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers with a need to handle the request, subject to our actual technical and contractual safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Specific collection, service-provider disclosures, retention periods, deletion requests, and any AI model-training choices or restrictions must be accurately stated in our Privacy Policy and the relevant upload notice. We will not promise a deletion deadline or AI-provider prohibition that our implemented systems cannot honor.

8. Safety, Legal Compliance, and Prohibited Requests

Use the site lawfully and only for defensive, authorized purposes. You may not request help breaking into property or systems, bypassing alarms or locks, stalking, covertly surveilling people unlawfully, or compromising others' safety; submit false information; attempt unauthorized access to our systems; disrupt site availability; or systematically copy content in violation of law. We may suspend access or decline assistance for suspected misuse.

Advice about doors, windows, locks, cameras, and security hardware does not supersede applicable law, building codes, fire codes, accessibility requirements, tenant rights, or emergency-egress obligations.

9. Product Content and Affiliate Disclosure

Product information, prices, specifications, ratings, availability, and retailer terms can change. Check details with the relevant seller or manufacturer before purchasing. Some links are affiliate links; when you purchase through them, we may receive compensation. We disclose material affiliate relationships near relevant recommendations and in our Affiliate Disclosure. A link is not an endorsement or guarantee. Purchases from third parties are subject to the third party's terms and policies; we do not control their fulfillment, warranties, returns, or data practices.

10. Intellectual Property; Feedback

Except for user-owned Submissions and third-party material, site text, design, graphics, names, marks, reviews, and software belong to Silent Security or its licensors. You may use content for personal, noncommercial information purposes, subject to applicable law. You may not reproduce or resell substantial site content or impersonate our brand without permission. Fair use and other legal exceptions remain unaffected.

You may provide feedback or honest reviews of our service. Nothing in these Terms restricts truthful consumer reviews, reports to government agencies, or other protected communications. If you send suggestions to improve the site, we may consider them without an obligation to implement or compensate you; this does not transfer ownership of your photographs or private materials.

11. Third-Party Services

The site may link to independent sellers and use third-party hosting, AI, payment, or communications providers. We do not control third-party websites or product claims. Their own terms and privacy notices may apply when you visit them or directly use their services. Our responsibility for the information we collect remains subject to applicable law and our disclosed commitments.

12. Disclaimers and No Guaranteed Results

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FREE SITE CONTENT AND AUTOMATED OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR THAT RECOMMENDATIONS WILL PREVENT CRIME, LOSS, INJURY, OR SECURITY INCIDENTS.

This clause does not negate any express service description or legally enforceable warranty applicable to a paid order, nor does it exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE WEBSITE OR A CONSUMER PHOTO REVIEW, EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT THAT EXCLUSION. FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO FREE WEBSITE USE, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED $100. FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO A PAID CONSUMER PHOTO REVIEW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PARTICULAR REVIEW GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, SUBJECT IN EACH CASE TO APPLICABLE LAW.

THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE, RECKLESS OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, FRAUD, OR ANY CLAIM OR REMEDY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED, INCLUDING NONWAIVABLE CONSUMER OR PRIVACY RIGHTS. THIS SECTION DOES NOT GOVERN SEPARATELY CONTRACTED BUSINESS OR GOVERNMENT CONSULTING WORK WHEN A SIGNED AGREEMENT PROVIDES OTHERWISE. Attorney review is required before relying on these limits for paid professional services.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse us for reasonable third-party claims directly caused by your unlawful Submissions, infringement of third-party rights, or intentional misuse of the site. This provision does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence or unlawful conduct, or restrict statutory consumer protections.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by New York law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory law of your location applies. Unless a separate signed agreement provides otherwise, disputes may be brought in courts having jurisdiction in New York, subject to mandatory consumer venue, small-claims, and other nonwaivable rights. Before filing a non-urgent dispute, we encourage you to contact us so we can attempt an informal resolution. These Terms do not contain an arbitration requirement or contractual jury-trial waiver.

16. Changes, Severability, and Contact

We may revise these Terms prospectively and will update the displayed date. For material changes to an existing paid order, we will provide notice and obtain any agreement required by law; changes will not retroactively reduce rights under an accepted order. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder survives to the extent lawful.
